As the last few years have proven, it costs approximately $1200 a month to run and operate each one of our Bible classes. These costs pay for our teachers, textbooks, student insurance, promotional materials, amid a myriad of other classroom expenses. Currently the GCLC has six classes located at North Gwinnett, Shiloh, Peachtree Ridge, Mill Creek, Central Gwinnett, and South Gwinnett ministering to a combined total of about 350 students. Considering the cost of each class and basing our numbers on a 10 month school year this leaves us with a yearly budget of about $72,000 needed to provided Christian education to the public high school students!
Because it is our conviction every child attending a public high school in the state of Georgia should have an opportunity to attend one of our classes, you should also understand the GCLC is not content having programs in just 6 schools. To accomplish our goal we are not only pursuing the formation of new classes in many of the Gwinnett County public schools still lacking a program, but we’re actively working our way into several other counties throughout the state of Georgia.
